The 2013 Telugu heist comedy D for Dopidi, which starred Varun Sandesh, Sundeep Kishan, Naveen Polishetty, and Melanie Kannokada, was directed by Siraj Kalla. Inspired by Malladi Venkata Krishnamurthy’s novel Thommidi gantalu, it was co-produced by Raj Nidimoru, Krishna D.K., and Telugu actor Nani, who also performed a promo video and provided the narration. The music was written by Mahesh Shankar. December 25, 2013, saw the film’s premiere. Although critics had mixed opinions, most viewers found this new genre of film enjoyable.
Plot
The four main characters of the movie, Vicky (Varun Sandesh), Raju (Sundeep Kishan), Harish (Naveen Polishetty), and Bannu (Rakesh), are in dire need of money to get Each has a unique tale to tell Having exhausted all other options, they ultimately decide to commit an ignominious bank robbery.
Everything proceeds as planned until they get to the bank, where they run into Lokamuddhu (Thanikella Bharani) and his gang of robbers. As things get messed up, trouble begins. The story’s central mystery, as one might expect, is what happens after they pull off their heist and ultimately solve their problems.
