His first film, Gharshana, was a present to him; he received it as he boarded the plane. Vamsi accepted a role in the upcoming movie directed by Gautam Menon, who was sitting next to him on the plane.He had intended to start his own company, but the encounter with the Telugu film industry’s Gautam Menon during the journey changed his plans.In his 2003 directorial debut, Gharshana, he appeared as a supporting actor and played a police officer.
Instead of playing the role of the protagonist, he prefers to portray the antagonist in movies.He has almost 35 Telugu projects to his credit. Kannada and Tamil films
