Richard M. Nathan is a highly acclaimed Indian cinematographer renowned for his exceptional work in the Tamil film industry. Beginning his career after studying Visual Communications at Loyola College in Chennai, Nathan initially assisted renowned cinematographer K. V. Anand and contributed to films like “Khakee” (2004) and “Sivaji” (2007). His breakthrough came with his debut venture as a cinematographer in Vasanthabalan’s “Angadi Theru” (2010), where he received accolades and a nomination for Best Cinematographer at the Vijay Awards for capturing the essence of Chennai’s crowded Ranganathan Street. Critics praised his night effect shots and captivating visuals, setting a benchmark for his cinematographic expertise.
