Indian cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy predominantly works in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. He graduated from Chennai’s Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu. His contributions to films like Souryam, Muni 2: Kanchana, Veeram, Vedalam, Viswasam, and Annaatthe are well recognised.
Film Carrer:
Vetri began working as a camera assistant for cinematographer S. Saravanan in the films Aahaa..!, Auto Driver, Sangamam, Oruvan, Vallarasu, and Maayi after receiving her diploma in film technology in cinematography. Vetri made his acting debut in the movie Agaram before breaking out in the action drama Thenavattu (2008). He then collaborated with Raghava Lawrence on the comedies Maasilamani (2009) and Muni 2: Kanchana (2011), both of which were commercial successes. Vetri has frequently worked with the filmmaker Siva and has been in his Tamil films with Ajith Kumar, Veeram (2014), Vedalam (2015), Vivegam (2017), and Viswasam (2019), as well as his Telugu movie Souryam (2008), Sankham (2009), and Daruvu (2012). At the Adyar Film Institute, the two had previously studied together.
