Story:

Annaatthe is a Tamil film released in 2021 directed by Siva.

Kaalaiyan, a village leader known for his moral righteousness, clashes with the tyrannical Nattadurai. When Pattammal, a lawyer initially hired by Nattadurai, witnesses the truth, she betrays him and falls for Kaalaiyan, whose world revolves around his beloved sister, Thanga Meenatchi.

After Meenatchi returns completed her education, Kaalaiyan faces difficulty in finding a groom for her as everyone is afraid of him. Kaalaiyan’s annoying cousin sisters, Angayarkanni and Mangaiyarkarasi, both propose that their brothers marry Thanga Meenatchi. They had both wanted to marry Kaalaiyan, but he had not agreed. Thanga Meenatchi’s marriage is arranged with Nattadurai’s younger brother without her consent. On the day of the wedding, Meenatchi goes missing. Kaalaiyan dispatches a search party who catch Meenatchi on a train, trying to elope with her boyfriend from college.

After meenatch returns home after her education kaalaiyan faces problem in finding a groom foe him. Angayarkanni and Mangaiyarkarasi, they both wanted to marry kaalaiyan, but he wont agree. On the day of wedding meenatchi goes missing. She will have a boyfriend in her college.

Kaalaiyan allows Meenatchi’s elopement, defying tradition. He discovers her financial struggles and protects her from a gangster. When thugs threaten Meenatchi, Kaalaiyan intervenes and learns the shocking truth.

There will be a past story for Meenatchi and to know what is the past and why all this happened and how Meenatchi will face the remaining in the present will be the story.
