Sameer Saxena

Biography:

Sameer Saxena is a prominent figure in the Indian entertainment industry, renowned for his roles as a Showrunner, Director, and Producer. He has been instrumental in the creation of several highly acclaimed series, including “Kaala Paani,” “Panchaayat,” “Kota Factory,” “Gullak,” “Yeh Meri Family,” “Tripling,” and “Permanent Roommates,” among others. Notably, Sameer has served as the Showrunner, Director, and Producer of the Netflix series “Kaala Paani,” and has also directed a Netflix film titled “Jaadugar.” His expertise led him to be a part of the jury for the International Emmys for two consecutive years.

Prior to establishing his own company, Posham Pa Pictures Pvt. Ltd, Sameer held the position of Chief Content Officer (COO) at The Viral Fever. Alongside collaborators Biswapati Sarkar, Amit Golani, and Saurabh Khanna, he has produced series such as “Home Shanti,” “Kaala Paani,” another upcoming Netflix series, and the Netflix film “Jaadugar” under Posham Pa Pictures.

Before venturing into filmmaking and series production, Sameer pursued engineering at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay). He spent around seven years working as a Strategic and Supply Chain Management Consultant before transitioning into the entertainment industry.

Coming from a family with a background in professional music and art, Sameer brings a rich artistic heritage to his creative endeavors.
