Clean Up Company

Story:

Clean Up Company was founded in 2026. Amazon MX Player offers a crime-comedy web series in Hindi. It centers on three buddies who, after starting a perilous company to dispose of dead bodies for quick cash in a lawless area, become entangled in local gang conflicts.  After being compelled to assist a local goon in cleaning up a murder, three buddies enter the business of disposing of dead bodies. They are caught between rival gangs, shady politics, and the police as their bizarre enterprise expands. The setting of “Clean Up Company” is a small Bengali town where the local MLA makes all the decisions and everyone knows one another. The series, which combines politics with crime, begins with an intriguing idea but falls short of it. The fact that Ravi Kishan only receives five minutes of screen time over the course of eight episodes, each lasting around forty minutes, is another strange aspect of the show’s extensive promotion.

The writers do a good job of capturing the local flavor and environment, but sometimes the writing falls short. The tone of the show is another issue. It is a suspenseful thriller at one point, a crime drama at another, and then parts that seem oddly unprofessional. The narrative centers on three close friends, Goldie (Ajitesh Gupta), Raju (Vishal Jethwa), and Swapan (Amey Wagh), and is set in the small village of Saribgunj. Swapan aspires to become a collector, Raju works at a garage, and Goldie operates a brick kiln that was given to his uncle following the death of his father. Alongside their tale is that of local MLA Sitesh Burman/Mejda (Jisshu Sengupta), who, with the aid of his trusted men, Sultan (Vijay Shrivastava) and Dharam Yadav (Shaji Choudhary), runs a criminal network. When recently appointed SP Indranath Mullick (Saswata Chatterjee) begins to crack down on illicit activity, things start to shift. Sitesh requests that his men maintain a low profile as the elections draw near. Things quickly get out of hand when Goldie, Raju, and Swapan become involved in the kidnapping of a builder. They soon get into Sultan’s circle as a result of their attempt to conceal a murder, which starts a series of events that alter their lives.
