TheatreSarabham is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir mystery film produced by C. V. Kumar under his Thirukumaran Entertainment brand and directed by Arun Mohan, the son of Tamil cinema actress Anu Mohan. Leading actors Naveen Chandra, Salony Luthra, and Aadukalam Naren are in the movie, and Britto Michael is in charge of the soundtrack. In August 2014, the movie debuted to favourable reviews from critics. The movie is an uncredited remake of the Keigo Higashino novel-based 2003 Japanese thriller Game.
Young project manager Vikram (Naveen Chandra) works for a Chennai-based architectural firm. Despite leading a morally upright life, he insists that as long as you avoid getting caught, it’s acceptable to commit crimes for financial gain. He visits Chandrasekar (Aadukalam Naren), the largest client of his company, one day to deliver an ambitious theme park project proposal that he has been working on for months. At that moment, Chandrasekar’s disobedient daughter walks into the office and demands money, embarrassing Vikram and his colleague in front of everyone.
Chandrasekar, having lost all control, dismisses Vikram’s suggestion with a chilly demeanor. After drinking, Vikram goes to Chandrasekar’s beach bungalow and damages it. He witnesses Chandrasekar’s daughter fleeing from there. Vikram confronts her about her father’s actions when he follows her to a neighboring hotel. Declaring herself to be Shruti (Salony Luthra), she says that she despises her father, a materialistic business man, just as much as Vikram does.
