Salony Luthra performed in Mumbai and Pondicherry as a theater artist. Sarabham (2014), a Tamil-language film starring Naveen Chandra, marked her lead cinema debut. Out of a hundred applicants, she was chosen for the position. She performed two distinct roles in the movie: a typical woman and a drug addict. She studied Tamil to get ready for the movie. She socialized with smokers and watched Hollywood movies to embody the negative character. She has acted in a number of plays, including the Hindi translation of David Harrower’s novel Blackbird. She shot film in Singapore after landing a role in Parandhu Sella Vaa.
She did, however, abandon the project due to disagreements with the director. She has also acted as a working woman in Kajal and as a blind street vendor in Oliyum Oliyum, two other short films. She played an Indian medical student in Forbidden and a Spanish woman in the Hollywood productions Turned Out and Forbidden in 2018. She starred alongside Naveen Chandra for the second time in Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna, her Telugu film debut. In the movie, she portrayed an independent woman.
