Indian film editor Leo John Paul primarily works in the Tamil cinema business. The Tamil Nadu state government named him the best editor of 2013 for his work on Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara (2013). Leo John Paul earned a master’s degree in visual communications in 2006 after completing his bachelor’s degree in PSG College of Technology in 2004. He has always had a passion for art and is involved in many campus cultural events. He was a fantastic dancer who was well-liked for both his choreography and dancing. He started off as an editor for music videos, documentaries, and short films. He made contact with director Gautham Vasudev Menon in 2007 and was given the go-ahead to serve as Vaaranam Aayiram’s spot editor (2007).
He persisted in collaborating with the group on the later scrapped production of Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikaalam. After that, Leo John Paul was given the chance to serve as the primary editor for his friend Milind Rau’s romantic comedy film, Kadhal 2 Kalyanam. He finished the movie, albeit it hasn’t been released yet. He worked on the “Why This Kolaveri Di” music video from 3 towards the end of 2011. The song quickly rose to the top of Indian YouTube searches and became well-known throughout Asia. After the video received a lot of hits in a short period of time, YouTube awarded it a “Recently Most Popular” Gold Medal and a “Trending” Silver Medal within a few weeks.
