Biography:

Atharvaa Murali, an Indian actor from a lineage of film personalities, initiated his acting career with the movie “Baana Kaathadi” in 2010. His breakout role came in the romantic thriller “Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal” in 2012, which was followed by critical acclaim for his performance in Bala’s period film “Paradesi” in 2013. Atharvaa’s portrayal as a rural villager enslaved in a tea plantation earned him widespread recognition, culminating in a Filmfare Award for Best Actor in Tamil.

Born as the second child of actor Murali and Shobha, Atharvaa pursued his schooling at St. Michael’s Academy and later attended Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology for engineering. His career journey began with “Baana Kaathadi,” where he portrayed a character from the Royapuram slum area. The success of his debut earned him praise for his promising performance, leading to awards and nominations. Following the demise of his father, Atharvaa took a hiatus to spend time with his family before returning to the industry.

Atharvaa’s subsequent films such as “Eetti,” “Kanithan,” and “Imaikkaa Nodigal” showcased his versatility, with varying degrees of success at the box office. He ventured into production with “Kickass Entertainment” and continued to expand his repertoire with films like “Boomerang” and his Telugu debut in “Gaddalakonda Ganesh.” His involvement in acclaimed projects like “Navarasa” and “Thalli Pogathey,” a remake of the Telugu film “Ninnu Kori,” highlights his diverse roles and commitment to his craft.
