Theatre“Maya Bazar” is a 2006 Indian Telugu fantasy film directed by Indraganti Mohanakrishna and stars Raja and Bhumika Chawla.
The story follows Srinivas, who comes from a poor farmer’s family. His father’s suicide due to heavy debts leaves him with financial struggles. Srinivas works as a driver for a businessman and often helps orphans with his earnings. One day, he encounters a little girl named Siri who is abandoned and suffering from a terminal heart condition. Determined to help her, Srinivas seeks financial assistance for her surgery. He meets Anupama, who secretly follows him.
Unable to gather the money for Siri’s surgery, Srinivas decides to fulfill her last wish by taking her to Tirumala. There, he curses the gods for not helping him. Moved by his compassion, the god Kubera appears before him and offers him the money needed for Siri’s surgery. Srinivas successfully gets Siri operated and starts a business with the remaining amount, eventually becoming wealthy and using his profits to help the needy.
As Srinivas’s life takes a positive turn, he falls in love with Anupama. However, when Kubera comes to claim Srinivas’s life as per their agreement, Srinivas sacrifices his love for Anupama’s happiness. Later, it is revealed that Anupama is Kubera’s daughter, and the whole drama was orchestrated to teach Kubera a lesson about compassion and helping others.
