Rajkumar quickly becomes friends with the students, plays games with them, and gains their trust in order to maintain control over them.
Rajkumar receives a proposal from one of his students, Kanchana, who falls in love with him. Rajkumar graciously declines, threatening to backtrack if she finds out about his history.
Past: Janardhan Rao’s daughter Preeti captured Rajkumar’s heart during his undergraduate studies in New Delhi. Vikram, Preeti’s classmate, proposed to her, but she turned him down. Enraged, Vikram killed Preeti. Rajkumar, in turn, murdered Vikram and received a five-year prison sentence. Rajkumar returned to his job as a lecturer after completing his prison sentence.
Present: Rajkumar tells Kanchana he can’t even imagine loving anybody but Preeti as they part ways. Rajkumar and Janardhan Rao encounter Vikram one day; it was believed that he had slain Vikram.
Startled, Rajkumar follows, but Janardhan Rao stops him, revealing that D. R., a well-known mob figure and Vikram’s brother, is truly Preeti’s killer. Janardhan informs Rajkumar that he did not want to rehash the past by telling him what he learnt just now because of fear of losing him again, since he had already lost five years of his life.
Rajkumar is also made to swear by Janardhan that he won’t pursue D. R. and Vikram. Rajkumar, helpless, takes the pledge and suppresses his rage. Later, Dilip, a student of Rajkumar’s, develops feelings for D. R.’s daughter.
Fearing death from D. R., they both want Rajkumar to assist in arranging their marriage. He obtains Janardhan Rao’s approval after persuading him of his involvement. Rajkumar faces the goons that D. R. and Vikram have ordered to have them wedded.
Despite his achievement, he kills both of the brothers and receives a five-year prison sentence once more. Rajkumar serves out his entire his sentence five years later With the approval of Janardhan Rao and his pupils, he reconciles with Kanchana and the two of them joyfully tie the knot.
