Plot
A college student named Srinu (Abhijeet) has two sisters, Satya (Rashmi Shastry) and Chinni (Kavya). Due to a job transfer, Srinu’s widowed mother (Amala) asks her kids to move in with their uncle in Hyderabad. Amma assures Chinni that she will be back in precisely a year. There are two distinct neighborhoods in Srinu’s uncle’s neighborhood: the opulent Gold-phase and the less affluent B-phase. Together with Srinu’s aunt, brother- and sister-in-laws, grandfather, and grandmother, they reside in B-phase.
The B-phase “gang” leader, Nagaraj (Sudhakar Komakula), Abhi (Kaushik Darbha), the diminutive geek, Lakshmi (Zara Shah), who is new to B-phase and preparing for the EAMCET long term while studying B.Com, and Paddu (Gurshagun Kaur), who is also Srinu’s second-cousin, are just a few of the loving and humble people in B-phase. However, Paddu’s parents are well-off, and her mother Surekha Vani is conceited and wishes she lived in the Gold Period.
Because his son is unemployed and frequently wanders around B-phase, Nagaraj’s father is annoyed with him. Rich and conceited, with no empathy for the lower class B-phase, populate the Gold-phase. Among them are the leader of the Gold-phase “gang,” Rakesh (Naveen Polishetty), the irritable Suresh (Sanjeev), and Ajay (Vijay Devarakonda). The belle and Suresh’s girlfriend, Paru (Shriya Saran), is likewise in Gold-phase, but unlike her neighbors, she has compassion for B-phase.
Soon after, Srinu confronts the Gold-phase rogues and fights with them. At this point, it becomes clear that Abhi is drawn to Paru, which infuriates Suresh. When a prominent private school rejects Chinni’s application due to her poor English proficiency, Chinni and her grandfather take offense. Chinni’s grandfather encourages her to learn English and challenges the administrators of the school. As Nagaraj tries to get close to Lakshmi, Srinu and Paddu grow closer over time.
An anonymous caller is harassing B-phase belle Maya madam (Anjala Zaveri) in the meantime. Once Srinu, Nagaraj, and Abhi identify him, they apprehend him. The caller reveals that he is from Gold-phase after Maya madam beats him. Maya madam thanks the boys and introduces herself to them at this point. A fight breaks out when the caller brings the Gold-phase gang along, but Maya madam breaks it up. Exasperated with Maya, the Gold-phase group attempts, but is unsuccessful, to take images of her in the restroom using a toy drone equipped with a camera.
But as they tinker with it, they find Rakesh’s sister, Sony (Srimukhi), and Srinu’s brother-in-law, Ashok (Vishnuvardhan), together. They bring it up to the B-phase gang and issue a warning to Ashok to back off. But with the intention of marrying her, Ashok invites Sony to his home. The following morning, Ashok is taken into custody by the police when they visit Ashok’s home with Rakesh, his father, and the Gold-phase gang.
However, the legal affairs of Ashaku’s father, Srinu’s uncle, resolves the dispute by mentioning Sony’s approval. Despite the difficulties, Ashok and Sony have a straightforward wedding at Ashok’s house. Suresh gets irritated when only Paru attends the marriage reception from the Gold phase and gets to know Abhi. She also discloses that she is a competitor for the title of Miss India. Ajay, who arrived at the reception with Suresh and Paru, notices Lakshmi and feels drawn to her right away.
Lakshmi accepts Ajay’s job offer through Nagaraj because she needs the money to pay for her engineering entrance exams. Srinu is asked to relocate to Paddu’s family’s outhouse in order to make room for the married couple, which allows Srinu and Paddu to spend more time together. Enraged by Ashok and Sony’s union, Rakesh swears to exact revenge.
When the parents of Gold-phase rogues discover that B-phase individuals have been using the lake, which connects B-phase to Gold-phase, as a cover to enter Gold-phase, they intend to usurp the nearby lake, which is geographically part of B-phase. Rakesh begins to retaliate by briefly cutting off B-phase’s water and power supplies. As a result of sharing food and water and spending more time together, the B-phase families become even closer.
Concurrently, Abhi’s dog, drawn to Paru’s dog, wanders off into Gold phase. The Gold-phase rogues catch Abhi’s dog and let their own dogs run amok on it. The Gold-phase rogues beat up Srinu and Abhi when they go to get Abhi’s dog. Once more, things work out well for B-phase when Paru apologizes to Abhi. Paru also requests that Abhi teach her magic so that she can showcase it as a talent during the Miss India preliminary competition. Suresh, feeling envious of Paru’s intimacy with Abhi, confides in Rakesh, who then initiates his next act of retaliation.
Rakesh tells Paru’s parents that she is very close to Abhi. Things eventually get worse when Manish (Charan Akula), one of Satya’s classmates, approaches her and gives her a phone—apparently on Rakesh’s orders. Additionally, Ajay begins to get closer to Lakshmi, which worries Nagaraj. Chinni begins to exhibit signs of her mother’s absence. Through Srinu’s uncle, B-phase obtains a stay order just as Gold-phase begins to take over the lake. After that, Srinu claims that Gold-phase is only bothering them because they seem weak.
The friends decide that Paddu will compete in the Miss India preliminary pageant after Srinu suggests they compete in every manner possible with Gold-phase.
After learning of Paddu’s intimacy with Srinu, Paddu’s mother, who is closely monitoring her, first says no to allowing her to take part, but eventually agrees when Paddu says she wants to meet potential grooms. When Srinu learns about this, Paddu becomes upset and separates from him. Because Ajay is getting closer to Lakshmi, Nagaraj is also irritated. He also makes an effort to study English with Chinni.
On their way back, Suresh and Rakesh question Paru about her feelings for Abhi and assert that the wealthy should avoid interacting with the impoverished and should only use them. Outraged, Paru walks away from them and comes back with the B-phase pals. But when Paru returns, her father begs her to stop seeing Abhi, and she grudgingly complies. Later on, Nagaraj makes a proposal to Lakshmi, but she declines, citing his lack of ambition and carelessness in contrast to her desire to become an engineer. To keep Nagaraj from feeling anything for her, she begins addressing him formally once more.
Nagaraj confides in Srinu and Abhi, dejected. Additionally, Abhi informs Nagaraj and Srinu that Paru hasn’t been in communication for a while and persuades them to assist him in speaking with Paru. That evening, Abhi is able to speak with Paru when the trio slips over to Gold-phase. She explains that she is not ready for marriage and that she does not have the confidence to be with him for the rest of her life. However, Abhi queries whether her love for Abhi was only part of Gold’s phase-by-phase scheme to harm Abhi. She shows her true love for him by giving him a slap.
On Lakshmi’s birthday, tensions between the two regions escalate when Ajay asks her to marry him and inadvertently injures her when she says no. Enraged, Nagaraj begins beating Ajay after the B-phase and Gold-phase gangs get involved. When the cops show up, they break up the fight. Rakesh bribes the police while filing a case of attempted murder against Nagaraj, Srinu, and Abhi. But Maya madam saves the day with Lakshmi and attempts to file a rape case against Ajay. To keep everyone out of trouble, the police persuade Rakesh to drop the charges.

As he makes his way back home, Srinu asks Lakshmi about Satya, who reportedly mentioned attending Lakshmi’s birthday celebration. When Lakshmi claims not to know anything, Srinu asks Paddu to see how Satya is doing. Paddu verifies Satya is securely at home. As a perplexed Srinu is explaining to Paddu why Satya would deceive him, Paddu’s mother finds out and angrily ejects Srinu from her home. When Srinu gets back to his uncle’s house, he discovers Satya and Manish are on the phone.
The B-phase gang, including Srinu, Nagaraj, Abhi, and others, confront and beat Manish the following morning. Manish is sent away by Satya after she steps in. She admits, during a heated debate with Srinu, that she feels too overwhelmed to pursue her education. Following Abhi’s departure with Satya, Srinu confides in his uncle and makes plans to see Amma to inform her of everything that has been happening.
To visit Amma, Srinu, his uncle, Satya, Abhi, and Nagaraj get into Nagaraj’s father’s car. They visit a hospital, where they learn that Amma has cancer, thanks to Srinu’s uncle. The doctors tell them that although Amma may be cured, she stopped her treatment because she was afraid it would deplete the funds she had set aside for her children’s education. The group has an emotional conversation with Amma and decides not to inform her of the events before departing.
After coming back, Srinu and Satya concentrate on their studies while keeping the truth from Chinni. As his affection for his mother grows, he allows her to pinch his cheeks—something he despises. However, Nagaraj’s father is upset that his son stole his car without telling him, leaving him jobless because he uses it for a cab. As a result, the father throws Nagaraj out of the house and gives him a deadline to return only if he can find a way to make money. Nagaraj has always wanted to launch his own little company, but he finds it challenging because he is unsure of what he should and can accomplish.
Since Srinu wishes to put more of an emphasis on his studies and his sisters, Paddu and Srinu’s relationship appears to be disintegrating. It has also been difficult for Lakshmi to deal with Nagaraj pulling away from her. Once more, Maya madam steps in to help and suggests that Nagaraj use the cars her friend is selling to launch his own taxi service, which would set him back a total of Rs. 3 lakhs. Maya ma’am gives Nagaraj two lakhs rupees. In an attempt to revive their friendship, Lakshmi calls Nagaraj again informally and tells him she is not happy without him.
She also gives Nagaraj the Rs. 1 lakh worth of jewelry that her father has been accumulating for her wedding. Nagaraj is able to successfully launch his taxi business under the name “Laxmi,” which is the only English word he can spell. After realizing how much Nagaraj cares for her, Lakshmi returns the favor. Lakshmi and Satya do well on their exams, Abhi reverts to his old geeky self, and Srinu gets his degree and a job.
Just when everything seems to be going smoothly, a call is placed by hospital doctors informing that Amma’s condition is getting worse and asking Srinu to come right away. Prior to departing for the medical facility, Srinu visits Paddu’s household and requests her parents’ consent to marry her Paddu’s father agrees to let her go with Srinu after Paddu speaks up and tells her that she wants to be with him, despite her mother’s disapproval.
When Srinu, Paddu, Nagaraj, and Abhi arrive at the hospital, Srinu tells Amma that Satya did well on her exams and that he has a new job. Paddu is also introduced. Resuming treatment, Amma feels confident her children can settle down. With judges and spectators from both sides in attendance, Chinni competes in an English-speaking tournament against a student from the convent school where she was previously turned away.
When asked to describe her mother in English, Chinni first speaks in English before breaking down in tears and describing her love and loss for her mother in Telugu. This brings everyone in the room to tears, including the convent school judges who determine Chinni’s victory. But now that a year has gone, Chinni is determined to see her mother, who has recovered from her illness.
Srinu is sentimental about the experiences he had while in B-phase. During their meeting, he expresses gratitude to Rakesh for bothering him and says that the harassment during the Gold phase has given their lives a satisfying, spicy, and sweet balance. In return, Rakesh thanks Srinu, saying that B-phase helped him understand that material wealth does not bring true happiness.
Srinu and Rakesh give each other a handshake. Nagaraj’s father welcomes his son back with an embrace. When Paru pays him a visit and inquires about his well-being, Abhi replies that he is content because everyone else is as well. However, Abhi looks stunned when she asks if he has been missing her. Paru departs with a sense of satisfaction for Abhi and B-phase. Chinni asks her mother if they really need to go back at the end. Everyone begs the family to stay, and they grant their request.
