TheatreKyun Ho Gaya Na…, a Hindi-language romance film directed by Samir Karnik, features Amitabh Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Aishwarya Rai, Om Puri and Sunil Shetty. The music for the film was composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Released on August 11, 2004, the film’s original title was Kyon! Ho Gaya Na Pyar…, but the director chose to omit “pyar” (love) due to its overuse in Hindi cinema.
The story centers on Diya Malhotra, an idealistic and sensitive girl, who grew up in the coffee plantation town of Coorg. Diya is sent to Mumbai to assist her father’s friend, Raj Chauhan, a lifelong bachelor who runs a small orphanage in his home. She meets Arjun Khanna, a seemingly carefree guy. Both initially clash due to their differing views on love and marriage but eventually fall in love.
Kyun Ho Gaya Na is a romantic comedy film which marks the acting debut of Kajal Aggarwal in a minor role. Upon release, it had an average performance at the box office.
