Story:

David Dhawan is the director of the 2026 Indian romantic comedy film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which translates to “When there is youth, there will be love” (also known by the initials HJTIHH). Gaurav Bose of Maximilian Films co-produces the movie, which is produced by Ramesh Taurani under the name Tips Films. Maniesh Paul, Chunky Panday, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Mouni Roy play supporting parts, while Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde play the main parts. The movie is meant to be David Dhawan’s last picture.

In December 2023, David Dhawan and his son Varun got back together for their fourth project. Following the project’s official announcement in July 2024, primary photography in Mumbai, Goa, Rishikesh, and Edinburgh got underway. White Noise Collectives, Tanishk Bagchi, Javed–Mohsin, Rony Ajnali, Gill Machhrai, and Akshay–IP wrote the music, and Raju Singh wrote the soundtrack. Ayananka Bose handled the cinematography, while Ritesh Soni handled the editing.On June 5, 2026, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai opened in theaters across the globe to mixed to favorable reviews from critics.
