Indian actress Mouni Roy was born on September 28, 1985, and her main mediums of employment are Hindi movies and television shows. In 2006, she debuted as an actress in the television series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Following her role as a shape-shifting serpent in the supernatural thriller Naagin and its follow-up Naagin 2, Roy rose to prominence as one of the highest-paid Hindi television actresses. She has nominated for two Filmfare honors and has won other honors, including an IIFA Award and two ITA Awards.
Hero Hitler in Love (2011), a Punjabi love film, marked Roy’s cinematic debut. With the historical sports drama Gold (2018), she made her Hindi feature debut and was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
In the fantasy action-adventure Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva (2022), Roy played Junoon to great critical acclaim. She was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress and won the IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Roy was born on September 28, 1985, into a Rajbongshi family in Cooch Behar, West Bengal. Shekhar Chandra Roy, her grandpa, was a well-known Jatra theater performer. Her father, Anil Roy, was the Cooch Behar Zilla Parishad’s office superintendent, while her mother, Mukti, was a theatre performer. She attended the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Baburhat, Cooch Behar, until class twelve before moving to Delhi.
