Story:

A precursor to Draupathi (2020), Draupathi 2 is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language historical action drama film written and directed by Mohan G. It reunites with Mohan after Draupathi and Rudra Thandavam (2021) and has Richard Rishi in the lead role. In collaboration with GM Film Corporation, Sola Shakkaravarthi’s Netaji Productions is producing the movie. In addition to Chirag Jani, Natty Subramaniam, Y. G. Mahendran, Bharani, Saravana Subbiah, Vela Ramamoorthy, Dinesh Lamba, and others in significant parts, the film’s title star is Rakshana Induchoodan. On January 23, 2026, Draupathi 2 opened in theaters to unfavorable reviews from reviewers and became a box office disaster

The film tells the tale of Kadavarayan, a soldier who enlists in the Royal Army’s Garuda Padai in order to defend his people and nation. His valiant deeds earn him the title and elevate him to the position of small-area monarch. The main theme of this film revolves around the problems he faces from non-native forces and how he resolves them with courage and preparation.
