Ahimsa

Story:

Ahimsa, which translates to “Non-violence,” is a romantic drama film in the Telugu language released in 2023. It was written and directed by Teja and produced by P Kiran under Anandi Art Creations. The film features newcomers Abhiram Daggubati and Geethika Tiwary in the lead roles. The music was composed by R. P. Patnaik, with Sameer Reddy handling the cinematography. Ahimsa premiered in theaters on June 2, 2023.

Plot

Raghu (played by Abhiram Daggubati) is a farmer residing in a secluded village, adhering strongly to the principle of Ahimsa (non-violence) advocated by Mahatma Gandhi. When his girlfriend Ahalya (played by Geethika Tiwary), who is also his first cousin, seeks his help after being molested, Raghu chooses to impart a moral lesson to the assailant on the significance of respecting women, rather than resorting to violence.
