TheatreAattam is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language drama film written and directed by Anand Ekarshi and produced by Ajith Joy under the banner of Joy Movie Productions.
The film received significant acclaim, winning the 2023 Grand Jury Award at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. It was selected as the opening feature at the 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa and earned the prestigious Best Feature Film award at the 70th National Film Awards.
The story unfolds after a late-night party held by a theatre group, where their only actress, Anjali, becomes the victim of harassment by one of the twelve male members. This incident triggers an emergency meeting among the group, excluding the accused. As they attempt to reach a unanimous decision about expelling him, hidden stories emerge, suspicions rise, and chaos takes over.
