Story:

In 1999, P. A. Arun Prasad wrote and directed the sports action movie Thammudu (literally, “Younger Brother”). Aditi Govitrikar, Preeti Jhangiani, and Pawan Kalyan all appear in the films. In supporting roles are Bhupinder Singh, Achyuth, Brahmanandam, Ali, and Kitty. Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna produced Thammudu under the Sri Venkateswara Art Films label. Ramana Gogula composed the music, Madhu Ambat shot the movie, and Marthand K. Venkatesh edited it. The movie, which debuted on July 15, 1999, went on to become a commercial success, and Ramana Gogula’s score created new trends. Breaking Away, a 1979 American movie, and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, an Aamir Khan movie, served as inspiration for Thammudu. The movie was remade in three different languages: Bengali as Champion (2003), Kannada as Yuvaraja (2001), and Tamil as Badri (2001).

The family’s youngest son is Subrahmanyam, also known as Subbu or Subhash. He is a gipsy and wastrel who roams the streets with women, hangs out with his friends, and consistently fumbles his tests. Subbu’s actions consistently reflect his contempt for and loathing for his cafe-owner father, Viswanadh. Chakri, Subbu’s older brother, is Viswanadh’s favourite child and a college-level kickboxer. Chakri devotes his days to hard kickboxing training in preparation for the inter-college competition, but Rohit, a student at the prestigious Model College, defeats him in the finals. He and Rohit wind up bumping into one other when practising, and Chakri, who attends Government College, is often made fun of for his humble origins. Subbu’s neighbour, Jaanu alias Janaki, is secretly in love with him. Jaanu is in love with Subbu, but Subbu isn’t aware of it. Subbu frequently borrows money and vehicles in an effort to impress women, thinking of Jaanu as a source of both. The father of Jaanu runs a garage.

Subbu makes up the fact that he attends the prestigious Engineering College and is the son of a wealthy man when he meets Lovely, an affluent college student from the exclusive Model College, one day. In reality, Subbu attended the same local government college as his brother Chakri. Lovely succumbs to his deception and soon starts to confess her feelings for Subbu. She eventually discovers the truth, separates from Subbu in front of Viswanadh and Chakri, and criticises him. Viswanadh learns that Subbu has consumed a significant amount of Jaanu at the same time. He exiles Subbu out of exhaustion.Subbu is currently homeless and is helped by Jaanu. Jaanu advises Subbu to take more responsibility for himself and demonstrate his worth to his father. He starts to change for the better and soon comes to appreciate Jaanu’s affection. Meanwhile, Rohit, who is now Lovely’s boyfriend and Subbu’s adversary, and his buddies attack and brutally hurt Chakri, forcing him to be hospitalised. As a result, he cannot compete in the intercollegiate kickboxing championship’s title match. Subbu decides to train extremely hard and seek vengeance for his brother’s accident in order to compete in the inter-college kickboxing tournament and earn Viswanadh’s respect. He wins the final intercollege kickboxing tournament by defeating Rohit, dedicates the trophy to Chakri, makes amends with Visnwanadh, and then decides to embrace Jaanu’s love.
