A Telugu actor and comedian, Ironleg Sastri. He made his debut in the 1992 Telugu cinema business thanks to renowned director E.V.V. Satyanarayana’s introduction in the 1991 movie Appula Appa Rao. Although his real name was Gunupudi Viswanath Shastri, he quickly gained notoriety under the character moniker Iron Leg, which he employed in this movie. He appeared in more than 150 films, including Chance, Little Gang, Evandi Avida Vachindi, Abbai Premalo Paddadu, Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Pekaata Papa Rao, Maavichiguru, Veedavadandi Babu, Thammudu, Swayamvaram, Toli Choopulone, Yours Abhi, and many others.
It was claimed that Ironleg experienced a financial difficulty in the year 2004. He experienced cardiac issues in 2006 and passed away on June 19, 2006, at his Tadepalligudem home. During his final few days, he also developed jaundice. The Andhra Pradesh government and the entire Telugu cinema industry received a financial aid request from Ironleg’s family. Many performers, including Sampoornesh Babu, gave money to his family.
