Biography:

Famously known as Kitty, Raja Krishnamoorthy is a well-known actor, screenwriter, and director. He made his big-screen debut in the 1987 Tamil crime movie Nayakan. He comes from a much larger corporate background than other cine members. He completed his Master of Management degree from Bombay’s Jamnalal Bajaj Institute. He began his business career at Mukund Iron & Steel as a personnel officer and management trainee.He was also the ITC Welcome Group’s personnel manager. Later on, he rose to the position of General Manager of Enfield India Limited. He worked with Polaris Software Lab Ltd. from June 2000 to March 2002. Additionally, he worked with ProLease India Pvt. Ltd.’s Consulting and Training Division from 2002 to 2005 as a Principal Consultant. He was in charge of Maximus’ HRD department and Consulting and Training Division at the time.

He appeared in more than 30 movies and directed two, including Dasarathan and Krishna, all of which received strong reviews. In the film Minsara Kanavu, he also provides Girish Karand with a voiceover. He made his television debut in Dharmayutham, a drama about two competing legal teams. He portrays a senior attorney who is helped by his kids, Abbas and Anuja Iyer. In addition, he and P C Balasubramaniam co-authored the book Rajini’s Punchtantra: Business and Life Management. All of Rajini’s insightful one-liners are included in the book. Kitty read the chapter about life management. He appeared in films such as Nayagan, Thalapathi, Bombay, Baasha, Singham 2, and Ramanujan in addition to the Tamil TV series Dharmayutham and Rajakumari in 2012.
