TheatreKannappa is an upcoming fantasy drama film in the Telugu language from India, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. It tells the story of Kannappa, a devotee of the Hindu god Shiva. The movie is produced by Mohan Babu under AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The screenplay, based on a story by Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Eshwar Reddy, G. Nageswara Reddy, and Thota Prasad, is written by Vishnu Manchu. Manchu plays the title role in the film.
The film was formally launched on August 18, 2023. Principal photography commenced on September 25, 2023, in New Zealand. The original score and songs are composed by Stephen Devassy and Mani Sharma. While originally shot in Telugu, the film will be dubbed and released in various Indian languages.
