Gautamiputra Satakarni

Story:

Krish is the writer and director of the 2017 Indian Telugu-language epic historical action film Gautamiputra Satakarni, which translates to “Satakarni, son of Gautami.” Under the First Frame Entertainment brand, Y. Rajeev Reddy and Jagarlamudi Saibabu produced the movie. Nandamuri Balakrishna plays the lead role in the movie, which also stars Hema Malini and Shriya Saran. It is based on the life of Satavahana monarch Gautamiputra Satakarni, who lived in the second century CE. It’s Balakrishna’s 100th performance in a movie. Chirantan Bhatt is the composer of the music.

The goal of Gautamiputra Satakarni, the Satavahana king of Amaravati in the second century CE, is to bring the 32 kingdoms of the nation together to put an end to internal strife and bring about peace. He swears allegiance to his mother Gautami Balasri, sets off on his mission at the age of eighteen, and offers the kings he meets along the journey only two choices: peace (by giving up their swords) or battle. He gains control of the entirety of South India after a torturous eighteen years. With Vasishti Devi, Satakarni temporarily marries, and the couple has a son called Pulumavi (Master Snehit Chowdary).

The mighty and evil Nahapana, the significant monarch of the Western Kshatrapas, imprisons the princes of his feudatory countries as royal prisoners in order to defend his realm from all directions. Since it is now difficult for Satakarni to get to Nahapana, he devises a plan and chooses to accompany his son Pulumavi to the battleground. Vasishti disagrees, but Satakarni persists in his stubbornness. At the same time, Greek Emperor Demetrius is waiting at the border to take control of the nation after their conflict. Satakarni is making his way to Nahapana’s fort in the meantime. He promises the feudatory kings en route to protect and preserve their offspring. When he finally arrives at Nahapana’s fort, he smashes him, saves the princes, and leads the entire nation in and gives him a thigh smack under one flag.
