Chirrantan Bhatt is a versatile Indian musician, composer, and singer whose musical prowess spans across both Bollywood and the Telugu film industry. He is particularly acclaimed for his enchanting melody compositions, with a notable presence in Hindi horror films.

Belonging to the illustrious Gujarati Bhatt family, which has a strong lineage of film-making and directing in Bollywood, Chirrantan Bhatt continues the family legacy. He is the grandson of the renowned Vijay Bhatt and the son of Arun Bhatt, a respected producer and director in the world of Gujarati cinema.

Chirrantan Bhatt’s musical journey commenced with his debut as a composer in the Hindi film “Mission Istaanbul” in 2008. He gained early recognition for his work on films like “Shaapit,” “Haunted 3D,” and “1920: Evil Returns,” contributing haunting and atmospheric compositions that suited the horror genre.

His musical talents extended beyond horror films, with memorable compositions in notable Hindi movies such as “Boss,” “Gabbar Is Back,” “Jolly LLB 2,” and “1920: Evil Returns.” Hits like “Har Kisi Ko Nahin Milta,” “Teri Meri Kahaani,” and “Uska Hi Banana” bear testimony to his ability to craft soulful and captivating melodies.

Chirrantan Bhatt’s horizons expanded when he was approached by director Krish to compose for the Telugu film “Kanche.” This venture was met with acclaim, earning him accolades like the GAMA Award in Dubai and the CineMAA Award in Hyderabad. His work on “Kanche” also earned him a nomination for Best Music Director at the Telugu Filmfare Awards, and the film itself won the National Award in the Best Regional Film category in 2016.

Further showcasing his versatility, Bhatt contributed his musical magic to “Gautamiputra Satakarni,” another period film directed by Krish and starring Telugu actor Nandmuri Balakrishna. Critics praised his music and background score in this project.

In 2018, Bhatt’s musical artistry graced Nandmuri Balakrishna’s film “Jai Simha,” with his song “Ammakutti Ammakutti” becoming a chart-topper. His excellence in music earned him a nomination for the Best Music Album category at the Filmfare Awards 2020 for the Akshay Kumar starrer “Kesari,” and he clinched the Radio Mirchi award for his outstanding contribution. He also lent his musical brilliance to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Telugu film “Ruler.”
