Veeru Potla is an Indian filmmaker and scriptwriter, primarily active in the Telugu film industry. He has made a name for himself by directing movies like “Bindaas” and “Ragada,” in addition to contributing to the story of films like “Varsham” and “Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana.”
Veeru Potla was born in Piduguralla, a town in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, India, to a family of farmers. He received his primary and secondary education in Piduguralla and attended A P Residential School, Tadikonda (APRST) from 1982 to 1986. His passion for the world of cinema led him to Hyderabad, where he embarked on his career as a screenwriter. He entered into a marital union with a woman from a non-filmy background in Rajahmundry.
Potla has expressed his admiration for directors such as K. Viswanath and Woody Allen.
In 2004, Veeru Potla began his career as a screenwriter, contributing to the film “Varsham,” which featured Prabhas and Trisha. He followed this with “Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana” in 2005, a movie directed by Prabhu Deva and starring Siddharth and Trisha.
In 2010, he transitioned to directing, with “Bindaas,” featuring Manoj Manchu, and “Ragada,” starring Nagarjuna. Both of his directorial ventures were well-received and garnered positive reviews.
His most recent project, “Doosukeltha,” featuring Vishnu Manchu, also received positive reviews and was declared a Box Office hit.
