The self-taught, award-winning filmmaker Srividya Basawa is from Hyderabad, India. The television program “Cute Companions” for HMTV marked the beginning of her filmmaking career in 2009. She has since directed numerous corporate and pan-Indian advertising videos. A psychological thriller with a female protagonist, “Madha” is her first feature film as director. Prior to its premiere in theaters, Madha won 26 international honors at several international film festivals.
