Sandhya Janak, a notable figure in the Tollywood Film Industry, has experienced an unexpected journey from being a teacher to a prominent actor. Her entrance into movies was a serendipitous opportunity, debuting as a motherly figure to a young Tamannaah in the film “Happy Days.” Since then, Sandhya has been an essential presence in over fifty Tollywood films, often portraying the role of a nurturing mother to emerging stars.

Her prolific career has included memorable performances in films like “Intelligent,” “Geetha Govindam,” “Aarudugulla Bulletin,” and “Dhammu,” her 50th movie milestone. Yet, Sandhya’s trajectory was quite distinct initially, as she was once a teacher and later transitioned into journalism, where she focused on science-related topics. She even produced documentaries spotlighting women scientists under the UGC Delhi.

In an unexpected turn of events, she met director Sekhar Kammula in 2006, presenting her script.
