Teja Kakumanu

Biography:

South Indian actor Teja Kakumanu performs in Tollywood. He was born in Dondapadu at the home of his maternal grandparents, and he was raised in the nearby village of Abbarajupalema. His education was finished at Mary Matha English Medium High School in Thulluru, followed by an associate’s degree at PB Siddhartha Junior College and a bachelor’s at Sarada Degree College in Vijayawada. He got involved in student politics when he was quite young and rose to the position of executive for the ABVP at the state level.

Later, he moved to Hyderabad to continue his education, where he earned his M.Phil. and master’s degrees in performing arts from Telugu University. He began his acting career as a theatre performer and played the character of Barbareekudu in a play. As a result of the performance’s extensive media coverage, Rajamouli saw him and later offered him the role of Saketudu in Bahubali.

The actor collaborated with upcoming directors Mahesh Kathi and Pradeep Advaitham before making his Tollywood debut since they were excited about their potential at the time. As an assistant director for the 2015 BillaRanga and Maine PyarKiya, he collaborated with Pradeep when he transitioned from actor to filmmaker. In the direction division, he has also collaborated with Mahesh Kathi for Pesarattu and Sriram Aditya for BhaleManchiRoju. Teja made his acting debut in the 2015 multi-starrer blockbuster Bahubali, where he played the cunning spy Saketudu, who betrays his homeland and sells its secrets to Kalakeya. They both entered the direction field. Both the audience and the critics gave him high marks for his performance. He became renowned as a well-liked celebrity.

In one of his interviews after Bahubali, he disclosed that he was originally going to portray the main character in Rana Daggubati’s version of “Poster Boys,” but the film was shelved owing to unforeseen circumstances. On October 21, 2016, Teja’s most recent film, “Tanu Vachenanta,” a Zomby comedy also referred to as a “zomedy,” was released. Venkat Kacharla is the director, and Chandra Sekhar Azad Pati Bandla is the producer. Rashmi Gautam and Dhanya Balakrishna are featured in addition to Teja in the song, which is provided by Ravi Chandra. T
