Story:

Yami Gautam Dhar and Pratik Gandhi feature in the 2025 Indian Hindi-language romantic action comedy Dhoom Dhaam, which translates to “Fanfare.” Under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios, it is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar and directed by Rishabh Seth. Critics gave it mixed reviews when it was made available on Netflix on February 14, 2025.

This ‘arranged marriage’ discussion event is attended by Veer Poddar, a soft-spoken, quiet, and timid veterinarian, his parents, and Koyal Chadda, his prospective life partner, who is a bold, rough, harsh, and gregarious female. To their dismay, the parents of the boy and the girl lie to each other during the meeting, claiming completely different things about Veer and Koyal, and arrange for their marriage.

Veer visits a mall and purchases numerous presents for his fiancée. Kushwant Kapoor, Koyal’s uncle, unintentionally bumps into Veer in the mall, strikes up a conversation, and walks away. After that, Veer delivers a bunch of big shopping bags full of presents, flowers, and other items to Koyal’s residence. Koyal’s dog knocks the bags over as soon as they are on the ground and begins consuming items that have fallen from them, such the lilies. Startled, Veer gives a courteous grin and walks away.

Just now, the wedding was over. In a hotel room, Veer and Koyal are sitting on the bed, getting ready to begin their Suhaag Raat. Koyal’s family calls to let her know that their dog hasn’t had a bowel movement in two days and asks if she can acquire any medication that her veterinarian husband has given. After becoming irritated, Koyal cancels the call by saying she is unable to question her husband about it at this time. The doorbell interrupts them a little later. ‘Where is Charlie?’ yells two men as they storm in, seize Veer. Completely shocked, Veer asks them if they are in the wrong room and kindly states that he does not know of any Charlie.

They keep begging for it and won’t go, and then one of them raises a gun. Koyal is the one who loses control and reaches for the gun after hurling a pot of boiling water from the tea kettle directly in his face. After evicting them from the room and frightening them with that gun, she and Veer, who appears astounded by her lightning-fast reflexes, depart the hotel. When Koyal notices that Veer is driving too slowly during the ensuing automobile chase, he gets on his lap and drives through the streets of Mumbai at a breakneck speed, escaping like a stuntman in a movie. They both immediately come to the conclusion that they are not a good fit!

On the same night, a number of things happen in an attempt to find the mysterious “Charlie.” Later on, the pair learns that the so-called “Charlie” is actually a thumb drive with some sinister secrets on it. It turns out that the disk has video footage of an armed robbery from Koyal’s uncle Kapoor’s store that was captured by the security camera and that he attempted to report to the authorities. Sanjay Rebeiro, the dishonest inspector, attempted to conceal the crime and murder him. The Central Intelligence Department (CID), which is also attempting to achieve the same urge to apprehend the corrupt officers and the gangs, then somehow became involved.

As a result, the crooked Sanjay’s gang, the criminal gang, and the CID all struggle to get the evidence back. Running from Sanjay’s group, Koyal’s desperate uncle placed the drive into the grocery bag Veer was carrying. (displayed at the start of the film). The couple is constantly pursued by many individuals throughout the night. However, the pair is clueless and continues to flee from the gangs. They went to different persons, one by one, who might have received the gift bags they handed away, after learning about Uncle Kapoor’s mall incident, to find “Charlie.” The night also discloses a lot of ugly secrets during the quest. That Koyal had a sexy bachelorette party the night before the wedding, that she had a relationship with a partner before to the marriage, etc. The revelation of all the sinister secrets shocks Veer.

After everything has been resolved, Veer and Koyal regretfully decide to get a divorce because they have so many secrets about one another that were revealed in one night, rendering them incompatible. After searching everywhere and failing to locate “Charlie,” Veer finally discovers that Koyal’s dog had inadvertently swallowed the USB drive while searching through the baggage. Given that the dog has a defecation issue, that suddenly makes sense. The pair is repeatedly pursued.

In the final scene, Koyal and Uncle Kapoor are kidnapped and restrained by Ribeiro’s group inside a big old warehouse. But in an attempt to save Koyal, even the typically shy Veer is compelled to improvise and execute a number of awkward fighting maneuvers. The CID’s good team also arrives in time to apprehend Ribeiro’s entire gang.

The dog securely defecates the thumb drive after Veer gives it laxatives in the last scene. The proof has been found! Not only did the protracted and tumultuous night leave them feeling hopeless and angry with one another, but they also unexpectedly found some things to enjoy about one another, which led to some reconciliation. They make up their minds and decide to stay together as a relationship!
