Prashanthini, an Indian playback singer primarily known for her work in Tamil cinema, has established herself through her melodious renditions in several notable songs. Born on September 28, 1983, she comes from a musical lineage as the daughter of renowned singer Malaysia Vasudevan and is the sister of Yugendran.

She commenced her playback singing career with the song in the movie “12B,” composed by Harris Jayaraj. After a hiatus, she made a prominent return in the film “Veyyil,” showcasing her talent in G. V. Prakash Kumar’s compositions. Prashanthini gained widespread recognition for her rendition of “Mundhinam Parthene” in the movie “Varanam Aayiram,” composed by Harris Jayaraj. Her repertoire expanded further with songs like “Ayyayo” (Aadukalam), “Lolita” (Engeyum Kaadhal), “Enge En Idhayam” (Kandaen), and “Ennamo Yedho” (Ko), which became popular among listeners, particularly the younger audience.

Beyond her musical pursuits, Prashanthini completed a Bachelor of Computer Application. She tied the knot with Premnath in 2008 and is a mother to her son, Rithvik. Interestingly, her debut song in “12B” coincidentally released on her birthday, marking the inception of her musical journey.
