Biography:

Madalsa Sharma, born on September 26, 1991, is a well-known Indian actress in both the film and television industries. She is most recognized for her role as Kavya Shah in the popular Star Plus TV series “Anupamaa.”

Born to actress Sheela Sharma and film producer/director Subhash Sharma, Madalsa completed her schooling at Marble Arch School and pursued her education in English literature at Mithibai College in Mumbai. Her passion for acting ignited at a young age, leading her to enroll in the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute. Madalsa also honed her dancing skills under the guidance of renowned instructors Ganesh Acharya and Shiamak Davar. In 2018, she tied the knot with Mahaakshay Chakraborty, the son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty.

Madalsa embarked on her acting career with her debut in the Telugu film “Fitting Master” in 2009, directed by E.V.V. Satyanarayana. Her exceptional performance in the film garnered praise, setting the stage for her entry into the Kannada film industry with “Shourya” in 2010. Notably, she received acclaim for her role in the Telugu film “Aalasyam Amrutam” produced by D. Rama Naidu. Madalsa ventured into Bollywood with “Angel,” a film by choreographer Ganesh Acharya, which was released in February 2011 and received positive reviews.

In 2020, Madalsa made her television debut by portraying Kavya Shah in the highly acclaimed Star Plus series “Anupamaa.” She continued to expand her career, featuring in various projects such as music videos and web series. Her work continued to receive recognition, and she reprised her role as Kavya Gandhi in the prequel web-series “Anupama: Namaste America” in May 2022. In 2023, Madalsa starred in Sudhanshu Pandey’s solo single titled “Dil Ki Tu Zameen.” Throughout her career, she has exhibited versatility and garnered a dedicated fan following.
