Biography:

Parasuram Petla, an accomplished Indian film director and screenwriter in Telugu cinema, embarked on his cinematic journey as an assistant director to his cousin Puri Jagannadh and later to Bhaskar. Born in Cherlopalem, Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh, Parasuram, also known as Bujji, pursued his schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya and earned an MBA degree from Andhra University before delving into the world of cinema.

Commencing his career in 2002, Parasuram assisted Puri Jagannadh on notable films like “Itlu Sravani Subramanyam” (2001) and “Andhrawala” (2004). He further collaborated with Bommarilu Bhaskar as an associate director on the 2008 film “Parugu.”

In 2008, Parasuram marked his directorial debut with “Yuvatha,” featuring Nikhil Siddharth. Subsequent projects included “Anjaneyulu” (2009) starring Ravi Teja and “Solo” (2011) with Nara Rohit, both contributing to his growing reputation. Despite a setback with “Sarocharu” (2012), his collaboration with Ravi Teja, Parasuram rebounded with the successful “Geetha Govindam” (2018), starring Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. The film garnered widespread acclaim, earning positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, solidifying Parasuram’s position as a director capable of delivering impactful and commercially successful films in the Telugu film industry.
