Maala Parvathi

Biography:

In Thiruvananthapuram, Parvathi was born to Adv. C. V. Thrivikraman and Dr. K. Lalitha, a gynecologist. She earned a Pre-degree from All Saints College in Thiruvananthapuram and served as a councilor for the university union. She earned her psychology bachelor’s degree from the Government College for Women in Thiruvananthapuram. She served as the college union’s vice chair during her first year before taking over as its head during her second year. She also served as the SPIC MACAY campus coordinator. At Kerala University’s Kariavattom campus in Thiruvananthapuram, Parvathi earned both a Master’s and an M.Phil. in psychology. She attended Kerala Law Academy Law College in Thiruvananthapuram to complete her LLB. B. Satheesan, a member of the C-DIT, of the Keralan government, is the spouse of Parvathi. Their son Ananthakrishnan, who has earned his diploma, is their only child.

‘Ulkazhcha’ on Asianet was where Parvathi began her career as an anchor. Shaji Kailas’ 2007 Malayalam film Time was also where Parvathi made her acting debut. Parvathi has appeared in almost 100 films. Neelathamara, Leela, Kanyaka Talkies, Munnariyippu, Take Off, Comrade in America, Godha, Game Over, C U Soon, Maara, and Bheeshma Parvam are a few of her well-known films. She has ties to the Thiruvananthapuram theater company “Abhinaya.” For the plays The Lady from the Sea (Sagara Kanyaka), The Lesson, and Bhagavadajjugam, Parvati collaborated with the director MG Jyothish. She has written a novel titled Mayoorageethangal and lyrics for Damodar Narayanan’s musical compositions Sreeprasadam and Megamalhar.

Parvathi has a strong commitment to women’s rights and has helped a number of survivors of GBV. Since 2006, Parvathi has served as a PR consultant for the MSL group, serving clients like the Hay Festival and Emirates Airlines. Since 2016, she has also worked with Ten Degree North Communications.
