Meezaan Jafri is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi cinema. He is the son of actor Jaaved Jaaferi and the grandson of comedian Jagdeep. Meezaan made his acting debut in the 2019 film Malaal, earning critical acclaim for his performance. Following this, he appeared in Hungama 2 (2021) and Yaariyan 2 (2023). Before stepping into acting, Jafri assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali and served as Ranveer Singh’s body double in Padmaavat. Additionally, he worked as an assistant director on Bajirao Mastani and Gangubai Kathiawadi.
In his debut film Malaal, Meezaan portrayed an unemployed Marathi youth opposite Sharmin Segal. His performance in Malaal earned him a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
In 2021, Meezaan starred in the comedy-drama Hungama 2, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar. In 2023, he played a motocross racer opposite Anaswara Rajan in Yaariyan 2, a film that did not perform well commercially.
Looking ahead, Meezaan has Sanjay Gupta’s Miranda Boys in the pipeline. Born on March 9, 1995, to Jaaved and Habiba Jaaferi, he initially pursued business studies at Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania. However, he later shifted his focus to film direction and editing at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
