Ann Cusack (born May 22, 1961) is an American actress and singer known for her roles in Multiplicity (1996), A League of Their Own (1992), and The Informant! (2009). She has also made guest appearances in numerous television series, including Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, One Tree Hill, Charmed, Ghost Whisperer, Boston Legal, Bones, Frasier, Ally McBeal, Criminal Minds, Private Practice, Fargo, Better Call Saul, The Boys, and The Good Doctor.
Born in New York City and raised in Evanston, Illinois, Cusack comes from a family with strong ties to the entertainment industry. She has four siblings, including actors Joan and John Cusack. Her mother, Ann Paula “Nancy” (1929–2022), was a mathematics teacher and political activist, while her father, Dick Cusack (1925–2003), was an actor, producer, and writer. Alongside her siblings, she trained at the Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston and attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Cusack made her film debut in 1992 as Shirley Baker in A League of Their Own. She later starred in the 1996 comedy Multiplicity alongside Michael Keaton and Andie MacDowell. That same year, she replaced Anita Barone on The Jeff Foxworthy Show until the series ended. In 1998, she took on the lead role in Maggie on Lifetime Television.
Throughout her career, Cusack has had guest roles in various television shows, including an appearance in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Carbon Creek” (2002). She also had a minor role in Grosse Pointe Blank, starring her siblings John and Joan Cusack, and played Diane Gaines in Accepted (2006). Additionally, she portrayed Melissa Robinson Ventura in Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective, replacing Courteney Cox from the original film.
She appeared in the Sci-Fi miniseries The Lost Room (2006) and later had roles in Fargo (2015) and Sully (2016), where she played Donna Dent in the Clint Eastwood-directed biopic about pilot Chesley Sullenberger, starring Tom Hanks. In Better Call Saul, she played Rebecca Bois, Chuck McGill’s ex-wife, first appearing in season two and returning in season three.
Beyond acting, Cusack formed the musical group Ann Cusack and the Generation Jones Band in August 2021, serving as the lead singer.
