The most well-known accomplishment of Indian model, actor, and beauty pageant champion Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu (born March 3, 2000) is her victory as Miss Universe 2021. Sandhu, the third Indian contestant to win Miss Universe, was a semifinalist in the Femina Miss India 2019 pageant and had previously won Femina Miss India Punjab in 2019. Since then, Sandhu has pursued acting.
Pritampal Singh Sandhu and Rabinder Kaur Sandhu were the parents of Sandhu, who was born in the Punjabi village of Kohali in the Gurdaspur district. Her mother is a gynecologist, and her father is a realtor. She has a sibling as well. Sandhu grew up in a Jat Sikh Punjabi household.
She left India for England in 2006, then came back to Chandigarh two years later. She went to Chandigarh to attend Shivalik Public School and the Post Graduate Government College for Girls. Sandhu was working toward a master’s degree in public administration when she was crowned Miss Universe. Sandhu speaks Punjabi, her mother tongue, Hindi, and English with ease.
