Biography:

American actor Daniel Ramirez was born on September 17, 1992. He became well-known for playing Joaquin Torres/Falcon in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie Captain America: Brave New World (2025). Additionally, he appeared in the HBO television series The Last of Us (2025) and the movie Top Gun: Maverick (2022). Born in Chicago, Illinois, Daniel Ramirez spent his childhood in Miami, Florida.[2] He attended Miami Coral Park Senior High School and is of Mexican and Colombian ancestry. At first, he wanted to be an athlete and tried both American football and soccer. He mentioned that he recognized he needed a new career after suffering injuries.

In 2016, Ramirez debuted on movie and television as “Moving Van Kid #1” on Showtime’s The Affair and in a brief role on NBC’s Blindspot. He received some attention in 2017 for his guest appearance in Orange Is the New Black and his recurrent role as Wes on Fox’s The Gifted (2017). He played a recurring part in Netflix’s On My Block from 2018 to 2019. After graduating from Tisch in 2018, Ramirez debuted in the Sundance Film Festival’s Assassination Nation, directed by Sam Levinson.
