Biography:

Alokananda Dasgupta is an acclaimed music composer and background scorer from India who works on movies and online streaming shows. Born and brought up in Calcutta, Alokananda completed her education from the University of Oxford, where she learned to play piano. She initially worked as an assistant to Amit Trivedi and eventually grew up to become one of the most popular and talented composers in the country. Alokananda became widely known for her remarkable background score in the series Sacred Games, which has won various accolades, and after that, she scored the background music of other famous films and shows such as Breathe, Leila, AK vs AK, Jubilee, The Jengaburu Curse, Three of Us, and Khauf. Her background scores are known for combining elements of orchestral, electronic, and Indian music.
