Rajisha Vijayan

Biography:

Rajisha Vijayan is an Indian actress known primarily for her work in Malayalam films, with a few Tamil film credits to her name. She has received recognition, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress.

Born in Perambra, Kozhikode, Kerala, India, Rajisha is the daughter of Vijayan and Sheela. She pursued her education and graduated in Mass Communication and Journalism from Amity University in Noida.

Rajisha Vijayan also made appearances as a host in various television programs, including “Susi’s Code,” a youth-oriented show, and a music chat program. She co-hosted “Surya Challenge” on Surya TV alongside Vidhu Pratap and anchored “Ugram Ujwalam,” a talent show aired on Mazhavil Manorama.

Her acting debut came in the Malayalam film “Anuraga Karikkin Vellam.” Her performance in the movie earned her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress in 2016 and a nomination for a Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam.

Rajisha’s subsequent roles included appearing in the film “Georgettan’s Pooram,” which did not perform well commercially, and “Oru Cinemakkaran” alongside Vineeth Sreenivasan. She also showcased her talent in theatre, featuring in a drama titled “Hand of God” in the role of a queen.

In 2019, Rajisha played the lead role in the coming-of-age film “June,” produced by Friday Film House. Both the film and her performance received critical acclaim and performed well at the box office.

In 2020, she starred in the Khalid Rahman-directed movie “Love,” opposite Shine Tom Chacko.

Rajisha Vijayan expanded her horizons by making her Tamil film debut in “Karnan,” directed by Mari Selvaraj and featuring a cast that included Dhanush, Lal, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Gouri Kishan, and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli.
