Ramarao On Duty

Story:

“Ramarao on Duty” is a 2022 Telugu-language mystery action drama movie written and directed by Sarath Mandava. Produced by SLV Cinemas and RT Team Works, the film features Ravi Teja in the lead role, along with Divyansha Kaushik, Rajisha Vijayan (making her Telugu debut), Chaitanya Krishna, and Venu Thottempudi.

The storyline centers on Ramarao, an upright civil servant, dedicated to eliminating corruption to assist impoverished individuals.

Production for the film commenced in July 2021 in Hyderabad, with additional filming in Andhra Pradesh and Spain. “Ramarao on Duty” had a theatrical release on July 29, 2022, but it received mixed to negative reviews from critics and failed to perform well at the box office.

B. Ramarao, formerly a deputy collector and now working as an M.R.O in Chittoor, initiates an inquiry into the vanishing of his ex-girlfriend Malini’s spouse, Surendra. During his investigation, he discovers a series of unsolved murder cases in the region and establishes a link between these murders and an illicit red sandalwood smuggling operation.

Initially referred to as “RT68” in reference to being Ravi Teja’s 68th lead role in a film, the official title “Ramarao on Duty” was disclosed in July 2021. Principal photography for the movie commenced on July 1, 2021, in Hyderabad and concluded its final shooting schedule in October 2021.

Filming also occurred in the Maredumilli forest in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. In March 2022, production shifted to Spain to film several songs.
