Biography:

Priyanka Chopra is a highly acclaimed Indian actress, singer, and film producer who has achieved immense success in both Bollywood and Hollywood. Born on July 18, 1982, in Jamshedpur, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), India, she hails from a family with a military background.  Priyanka was born to Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu Chopra.

She spent her childhood in various cities in India and abroad due to her parents’ professions. She completed her schooling in India and the United States. Priyanka gained national recognition when she won the Miss India and Miss World titles in 2000. This marked the beginning of her career in the entertainment industry.

Priyanka made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with the film “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy.” Her performance garnered attention, and she soon became a sought-after actress. Priyanka is known for her versatility as an actress. She has portrayed a wide range of characters in various film genres, from romantic dramas like “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” to intense roles in movies like “Aitraaz”.

Her role in “Fashion” (2008) earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress, solidifying her position as one of Bollywood’s leading actresses.
