Manju Warrier

Biography:

Indian actress Manju Warrier was born on September 10, 1978, and she primarily performs in Malayalam films. She is one of the highest-paid Malayalam actors and has won seven Filmfare Awards South, a Kerala State Film Award, and a National Film Award.

Sakshyam was Warrier’s first film role (1995). Thooval Kottaram (1996), Sallapam (1996), Ee Puzhayum Kadannu (1996), and Aaraam Thampuran (1997) are some of her best-known motion pictures. She put acting on hold after getting married. The critically praised movie How Old Are You? (2014) marked Warrier’s comeback to the big screen.

Since then, she has starred in several highly successful movies, including Mohanlal (2018), Odiyan (2018), Lucifer (2019), Asuran (2019), The Priest (2021), and Thunivu (2023). On September 10, 1978, Manju Warrier was born into a Malayali family in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari district.

Her family initially came from Pullu village in Kerala’s Thrissur district. In the Nagercoil regional office of Shakthi Finance, her father, T. V. Madhavan, was employed as an accountant, while her mother, Girija (from Thiruvilwamala), was a homemaker. Madhu Wariar, her older brother, is an actor and producer as well.

Warrier attended Nagercoil’s CSI Matriculation Higher Secondary School for her elementary education. They moved back to the Kannur district of Kerala after her father received a promotion. She first attended Chovva Higher Secondary School after attending Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Kannur.

Actor Dileep and Manju were wed on October 20, 1998, at the Aluva Sri Krishna Temple. Meenakshi, the couple’s daughter, was born. In January 2015, their divorce that they had filed for in 2014 was approved. Manju resides in Kerala’s Thrissur.
