Karthik Gattamneni is a prominent figure in the realm of Indian cinema, known for his multifaceted talents as a cinematographer and director, particularly in the Telugu film industry. His cinematic journey began in 2013 when he stepped into the world of cinematography with his debut project, “Prema Ishq Kaadhal,” marking the inception of a fruitful career that would see him contribute to numerous films.

Beyond his cinematography, Karthik is also a pivotal co-founder of Pondfreaks Entertainment, a notable production house specializing in short films. However, his initial aspiration was to become a director, and he ardently pursued this dream by attempting to gain admission to the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. Despite not securing a spot, Karthik’s unwavering determination led him to explore cinematography as a viable alternative. To hone his skills, he enrolled in a year-long course at Rajeev Menon’s Mindscreen Institute.

Karthik’s journey took a significant turn when he ventured into directing, creating a short film titled “Infinity,” featuring the talented Harshvardhan Rane in the lead role. This project garnered critical acclaim and caught the attention of industry luminaries, including Farhan Akhtar, who praised Karthik’s remarkable work. This newfound recognition opened doors for him, leading to a collaboration with filmmaker Pavan Sadineni on “Prema Ishq Kaadhal,” a milestone in both their careers as it marked their feature film debuts.
