Emraan Hashmi, born on March 24, 1979, is an Indian film actor known for his work in Hindi cinema. He was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, into a Muslim family with connections to the film industry. Emraan is the nephew of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and cousin of actress Alia Bhatt.

Emraan Hashmi made his acting debut in Bollywood with the film “Footpath” in 2003. However, it was his breakthrough role in the crime thriller “Murder” (2004) that brought him widespread recognition.
