Avantika Vandanapu

Biography:

American actor and dancer Avantika Vandanapu (born January 25, 2005), also known by her stage name Avantika, is from the United States. In addition to advertising, she has worked in a number of Telugu-language Indian films. She appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie Spin in 2021, and in the American comedy Senior Year in 2022, she played Janet Singh. She was also the second champion of the North American season of the Zee TV reality series Dance India Dance Lil Masters. A Telugu family in San Francisco, California, welcomed Vandanapu into the world. Before immigrating to the US, her family was originally from Hyderabad in Telangana, India. At the American Conservatory Theater, she studied drama.

In the Dance India Dance Lil Masters (North America Edition) in 2014, Vandanapu came in second.

In 2015, Vandanapu made his Telugu film debut and was subsequently cast in two films. In the February 2016 film Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha from 14 Reels Entertainment, she was chosen to play Chutki. However, she was unable to finish the film because of schedule issues. In the movie Brahmotsavam, starring Mahesh Babu, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, and Pranitha Subhash, which began filming on September 16, 2015, Vandanapu made his formal debut as a child artist. Later, she made a cameo appearance in Manamantha by Chandra Shekhar Yeleti. She later agreed to be in the movie Premam with Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Hassan, in which she plays a younger Madonna Sebastian.

In the Disney Channel Original Movie Spin, starring Meera Syal, Abhay Deol, Aryan Simhadri, Michael Bishop, Jahbril Cook, Anna Cathcart, and Kerri Medders in 2021, Vandanapu plays the title role of Rhea Kumar. According to a recent announcement, Vandanapu will play Karen Smith in the next movie version of the Broadway musical Mean Girls, which is based on the 2004 film of the same name.
