Story:

Maa Neella Tank is a comedy-drama streaming television series in the Telugu language, released in 2022. Lakshmi Soujanya directs the series, while Praveen Kolla serves as the producer. The cast includes Sushanth, Priya Anand, and Sudharshan. “Our Water Tank” made its debut on ZEE5 on July 15, 2022.

Plot

Episode -1

Surekha flees from her home, prompting Gopal, the Sarpanch’s son who harbors affection for her, to scale the village water tank, Neella. From atop, he vehemently accuses his father, Kodandam, regarding Surekha’s disappearance. Kodandam finds himself in a dilemma, leading Murty to implore Inspector Vamshi to locate Surekha. Vamshi successfully tracks down Surekha and approaches her. Meanwhile, Kodandam faces the daunting task of safeguarding his reputation and rescuing his son, while his rival Narasimham seizes every opportunity to tarnish Kodandam’s image.

Episode-2

Sub-inspector Vamshi encounters Surekha and deceives her in order to earn her trust and persuade her to return. However, upon their arrival back in the village, Surekha is dismayed to discover Vamshi’s deceit. Feeling remorseful for tricking Surekha, Vamshi is devastated when Gurumurthy informs him that his transfer letter will only be issued after Surekha’s marriage, adding to his emotional turmoil.

Episode-3

Surekha comes to terms with the fact that she must marry, leading her to return to her father’s shop, where she had previously been employed. Meanwhile, Vamsi continues to grapple with guilt over deceiving Surekha, but he finds himself compelled to do so as he urgently requires the letter from the Sarpanch to facilitate his transfer to Hyderabad. Additionally, Surekha’s family is displeased with her choice to proceed with the marriage.

Episode-4

The episode kicks off with Gopal’s eccentric behavior and his obsession with Murthy. Surekha’s parents pay a visit to Gopal’s house, where Chamundi expresses willingness for the marriage on the condition that she can purchase Surekha’s father’s shop. Surekha is distressed to discover that the shop is closed and that Chamundi has become its new owner.

Episode-5

Vamsi uncovers startling revelations concerning Gopal’s affection for Surekha. Upon learning that the shop has been purchased by Chamundi, he hurries to ensure Surekha’s safety as she contemplates another escape. Meanwhile, at Kodandam’s residence, arrangements are made with the priest to determine the wedding date. Gurumurthy confronts the pantulu whom he had previously bribed to expedite the construction of the Neella tank. Together, Surekha and Vamshi devise a plan.

Episode-6

In this episode, Narasimham’s true deceitful nature comes to light. Surekha and Vamshi mistakenly trusted him to assist Surekha in escaping her marriage to Gopal. However, Narasimham collaborates with Kodandam to ensure that Surekha marries Gopal, all while pretending to be involved in repairing the water tank. Surekha finds herself in a desperate predicament.

Episode-7

Narasimham initiates the ritual for blessing the water tank, asserting his authority as a leader. Meanwhile, the engagement celebration of Gopal and Surekha commences. Vamshi wrestles with increasing guilt over his deception of Surekha and seeks to apologize to her. The question remains: will she forgive him?

Episode-8

In the concluding episode, the genuine identities of all characters are revealed. Can Surekha avoid marriage with Gopal? Will Ramya undergo a transformation for Gopal’s sake? Could Bunamma emerge as the villagers’ new beacon of hope in the upcoming elections?
