Akkineni Nagarjuna is not just a star hero at box office in South Cinema but he is also one of the successful producers and businessmen. He understands the logistics of the movie business and his recent success rate as the lead and producer is one of the best examples. Even Young director Kalyan Krishna has same opinion on the actor and he attributed a big part of Rarandroyi Veduka Chuddam’s success to his producer. He expressed that he had jitters before meeting him for Soggade Chinni Nayana script discussions and when he had to direct him, Nag had to calm him down.
After that experience, the director confessed to having continuous sessions of discussions with the producer and his actor, Naga Chaitanya about the storyline and script for more than six months. He said, “Nagarjuna sir, never heard simple ideas or one lines and he always asked me to concentrate on overall impact of the movie. He used to ask him about the progress of the script and whenever I felt any pressure he calmed down by giving some tips about real life. After hearing to a version, he used to come up with many suggestions and corrections and they all proved to be value-addition to the movie.”
The director agreed with the criticism of the movie being regular and he supported his movie saying that he wanted to make a commercial movie with all elements and if that makes regular he had no problem with that. He condemned the comments of senior actor like Chalapathi Rao and criticised those, who said it was good publicity stunt. He made it clear that movie cannot run due to slip of the tongue. About his future, he said he has few offers but before taking up any he wants to spend some time with his family.
