Suriya’s upcoming film Retro directed by Karthik Subbaraj and featuring Pooja Hegde, is set to release on May 1st.
It’s an action-filled love story and there’s a lot of buzz around it. After this Suriya will team up with RJ Balaji for another film.
One of Suriya’s most anticipated projects is Vaadivaasal directed by Vetrimaaran. Although the film was supposed to begin long ago it faced multiple delays.
Vetrimaaran spent a lot of time on pre-production especially focusing on animatronics. Now, producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu has revealed that the team is aiming to release the film in summer 2026, either in May or June.
Shooting is expected to start later this year and Suriya has already allotted his dates. The music work is also in progress, with GV Prakash Kumar completing one song. Vaadivaasal is based on Jallikattu, the famous traditional bull-taming sport of Tamil Nadu.
